Meet Barry the Stag Beetle

Yesterday we learnt about the earthworms and today it is time for a stag beetle which was discovered in Deb's garden!

Did you know that:

- stag beetles eat tree sap and decaying fruit

- male stag beetles use thir jaws to wrestle - they fight over food and females

- female stag beetles are usually smaller than males
